What is HealthLynk?
HealthLynk is a personal health-record platform that helps you organise health information for yourself and, where your plan supports it, people you care for.
What can I store in HealthLynk?
You can organise supported records such as visits, prescriptions, test information, receipts and health documents in one place.
Do I need my complete medical history before I start?
No. Start with the information you have and gradually build your health history over time.
Can I upload a document without entering everything immediately?
Yes. Quick Capture is designed to let you save a document or record first and add more context when it is convenient, subject to the current upload and file rules.
Can I add previous medical records?
Yes. You can add information you already have, including earlier visits and supporting documents, so your history can become useful over time.
Can I upload health documents?
Yes. HealthLynk supports uploading supporting health documents within the configured file-size and file-type limits.
Can I keep prescriptions and test information?
Yes. Prescriptions and test information are supported record types. You can also keep related documents where appropriate.
Can I record previous doctor visits?
Yes. Visits and other supported healthcare encounters can be added to your health timeline.
Can I correct information I have entered?
Yes. You can edit supported information you entered. If a record was created by another authorised person or is no longer editable, contact support for help.
Does HealthLynk automatically receive records from my doctor?
No. HealthLynk currently relies on you or an authorised user adding information to the platform. It does not automatically receive records from healthcare providers.
Can I manage records for my child?
Where your plan supports additional profiles, you can manage a separate profile for a child or dependant with appropriate authority and access controls.
Can I manage another family member's records?
Where your plan and permissions support it, you can manage a separate profile for another person. Managing a profile does not mean owning that person's health information.
What is a managed profile?
A managed profile is a separate HealthProfile for a person whose information you are authorised to help organise. The profile remains centred on the person it describes.
What happens when a child becomes an adult?
The profile-claim process is designed to support a person moving from a managed profile to more direct access. The available steps depend on the account, invitation and verification details.
Can I remove someone from my Family account?
Family membership and HealthProfile access are separate. You can manage eligible family membership and revoke access according to the current family and access controls.
How many profiles can my plan include?
The included profile capacity and any additional profile pricing are shown on the current Pricing page and during subscription review. Family plan capacity is separate from permission to view a person's records.
Who can see my records?
Your records are available to you and people with authenticated, authorised access. HealthLynk does not make private health profiles publicly searchable.
Does HealthLynk sell my health information?
HealthLynk does not sell users' identifiable health information to advertisers or data brokers. See the Privacy Policy for the full details of how information is handled.
Are my records public?
No. HealthLynk health profiles are not public social content or publicly searchable records. Access is controlled through authentication and authorisation.
How does HealthLynk protect my information?
HealthLynk uses measures such as secure authentication, restricted access, encrypted communications, monitoring and controlled infrastructure. No online service can responsibly promise that an incident can never occur. See How we protect your information for more detail.
Where can I read the Privacy Policy?
Read the Privacy Policy and POPIA Privacy Notice. It is the source of truth for detailed privacy, processing and retention information.
Can I share my records with someone?
HealthLynk supports sharing and authorised access features for appropriate recipients, depending on the profile, permission and access flow being used.
Can I stop someone's access later?
Access can be revoked or allowed to expire through the applicable access controls. The exact result depends on the permission and invitation type.
Can a doctor automatically see my HealthLynk profile?
No. A healthcare provider cannot automatically see your HealthLynk profile. You decide whether to use an available sharing flow with an authorised recipient.
Does sharing make my profile public?
No. Sharing with an authorised recipient does not make your profile public or searchable.
Is HealthLynk free?
HealthLynk offers subscription plans. Current prices, included capacity and availability are shown on the Pricing page.
Is there a free trial?
Where an eligible subscription includes a trial, the current trial duration and first-payment timing are shown during subscription review. Eligibility and plan rules apply.
When will I be charged?
The review step shows the amount due and the first recurring payment timing. In general, the first recurring payment follows the trial where a trial applies, or activation where it does not.
Can I cancel my subscription?
Yes. Trial cancellation prevents the first paid renewal; paid cancellation stops future renewal at the end of the current paid period. See the Refund and Cancellation Policy.
What happens to my records if I cancel?
The implemented retention process may provide read-only access for a defined period, during which you can export or download information. See your subscription notices and the Refund and Cancellation Policy for current dates and terms.
What is the difference between Personal and Family?
Personal plans are for one person's HealthProfile. Family plans support eligible additional profiles, while each person's profile and access permissions remain separate. See the Pricing page for current plan details.
Can I change plans later?
Existing subscribers can request a plan or billing-cycle change through Subscription and billing, subject to the current subscription rules.
Can I download my records?
Yes. HealthLynk provides export functionality for supported records and files so you can keep a copy or use the information elsewhere.
What export formats are available?
Supported exports can include PDF, ZIP and CSV formats, depending on the record set and export flow. The export screen explains what is included in each available format.
Can I delete my HealthLynk account?
You can request account and profile deletion through the available account controls or by contacting support. Deletion and retention are handled under the Privacy Policy and applicable deletion process.
Do I lose ownership of documents I upload?
Uploading a document gives HealthLynk permission to store and process it as described in the applicable terms and privacy information. It does not turn your personal document into public content.
Is HealthLynk a tool for care organisations?
HealthLynk is currently focused on a strong personal and family health-record foundation. HealthLynk Care is being built to support organisations that need structured, authorised ways to manage information for people in their care.
Can a sponsor see the records of someone whose access they fund?
No. Funding someone's HealthLynk access does not automatically grant the sponsor access to that person's health information. Sponsorship and privacy are separate.
Is HealthLynk a doctor or healthcare provider?
No. HealthLynk stores and organises information; it does not diagnose, prescribe, provide medical treatment or replace professional medical advice.
Should I use HealthLynk during a medical emergency?
HealthLynk is not an emergency medical service. It may help you keep information organised, but in an emergency contact the appropriate emergency or healthcare service.
How do I get help with my account?
Use the Contact page for account, privacy, security, billing or general support questions. Never include more sensitive health information than is necessary in a support message.
